Five o'clock in the morning is ridiculously early for Tess these days. That doesn't mean she's not on time - ten minutes early, in fact - she's just not in the best of moods. And all too well aware that her opinion on the time of day and the way she's feeling doesn't mean a damn thing.

At least it's almost light out.

Waller raises one eyebrow and smirks slightly, "Agent Mercer?" she says, her voice lower than before.

She raises her eyes to meet Waller's. "Yes?"

This time, she steps forward and smiles, "since it has been a while since your last job for the agency, I will be personally keeping an eye on you."

"I won't let you down," Tess says, lifting her chin a little higher.

"I sure hope not," she eyes Tess for a second longer then turns around, walking back in the direction she came from.

Now Tess has been dismissed.
