Lockdown with chloeas

Tess is tired of running. She's tired of hiding, tired of acting like the scared little girl she shouldn't be anymore. But most of all, Tess is bored.

Luckily, all that hiding and boredom has led to a plan: If she can take out the Castle's systems, then maybe she can get its residents out in the open long enough to take them out. At this point, it's worth the risk, because Tess will no longer allow herself to be hunted down and exterminated like a pest. If she's going out, she's going out fighting.

Of course, in order to put her brilliant plan into action, she needs a database. A very powerful database with very sophisticated computer equipment. Any of her Luthorcorp labs are out of the question; no doubt Checkmate is watching them and she'd never make it inside alive. But there is one place Tess can think of that no one would ever expect her to be at. So that's precisely where she goes.

Getting inside Watchtower is easy. As soon as she'd figured out Chloe was behind it, setting up a DNA cloak was child's play and it's one of the gadgets Tess actually took with her. Accessing the system puts her meager hacking skills to good use, but something catches her eye before she really starts to put her plan into action. A file on the Kandorians.

"Not on my watch," Tess mutters and then sets about purging that particular file from the system.

Chloe glances at Tess but doesn't argue, preparing to push with all her strength, eyes on the door, "ready?" Without answering for an answer, Chloe's eyes narrow, "now."

When Chloe says, Tess pushes as hard as she can and together, they manage to get some momentum going. Desk meets frozen steel and finally, they have a way out.

That doesn't mean Tess waits for Chloe to get out. She grabs her precious piece of paper and heads for the elevator.

She watches as Tess runs but doesn't move for a second, turning around instead and staring up at the computers, her eyes tearing up and then with a deep sigh, she grabs her keys and starts out of the room.

"The elevator won't work, we need to take the stairs," she tells Tess, heading for the stairs door and unlocking it manually.

"You've got to be joking." Tess is about at her limit, now knowing she isn't going to die a hot and stuffy death. Reluctantly, she joins Chloe at the stairway door. "Better down than up, I guess."

Chloe isn't bothered by Tess' temper, she's just gonna focus on getting out and calling Vic as soon as possible to have him help her get the Watchtower back together.

Once they start down the stairs, Tess does get a glance and a slightly worried look, "are you okay?" On top of being pregnant, Tess has been through a lot already.

Chloe's going to get a mildly suspicious look in return.

"Near asphyxiation, having my shoulder cut up and putting up with you aside? I'm fine." One hopes Chloe wasn't really expecting anything else. "I may sleep for a week after this is over, but I'm fine."
