Zod has a habit of keeping up to date, so word of Tess' very long night is quick to reach him. Also quick is his decision to make the nearly instantaneous trip down to see her, though he's thankful somewhere in the back of his mind that he has the ability to leave just as quickly as he arrived. Just in case she's not in the mood for visitors.

In the meantime, however, he'll make his way to her room and give the closed door a couple soft knocks, not inaudible but quiet enough so as not to wake her--or the baby--on the chance that they're sleeping.
