Lockdown with chloeas

Tess is tired of running. She's tired of hiding, tired of acting like the scared little girl she shouldn't be anymore. But most of all, Tess is bored.

Luckily, all that hiding and boredom has led to a plan: If she can take out the Castle's systems, then maybe she can get its residents out in the open long enough to take them out. At this point, it's worth the risk, because Tess will no longer allow herself to be hunted down and exterminated like a pest. If she's going out, she's going out fighting.

Of course, in order to put her brilliant plan into action, she needs a database. A very powerful database with very sophisticated computer equipment. Any of her Luthorcorp labs are out of the question; no doubt Checkmate is watching them and she'd never make it inside alive. But there is one place Tess can think of that no one would ever expect her to be at. So that's precisely where she goes.

Getting inside Watchtower is easy. As soon as she'd figured out Chloe was behind it, setting up a DNA cloak was child's play and it's one of the gadgets Tess actually took with her. Accessing the system puts her meager hacking skills to good use, but something catches her eye before she really starts to put her plan into action. A file on the Kandorians.

"Not on my watch," Tess mutters and then sets about purging that particular file from the system.

"About twenty," Chloe answers quietly, looking forward to end this as much as Tess is.

"Then let's get this over with." And with that, Tess takes a deep breath and starts powering down the stairs, sometimes taking them two at a time. Hooray for being a proponent of physical exercise.

Chloe follows, but frowns, they are in the tens in no time, "are you sure you're supposed to be moving like that," because while she doesn't have a lot of concerns about Tess, she does about the kid.

"Exercise is good for the baby. Besides, it's not like it's that big to be flopping around or anything." In other words, Tess isn't really sure, which may be why she starts to slow down, just a little.

Chloe notices, but doesn't say anything, slowing down too, "we're almost there." She announces after a long moment, when the steps get wider, signaling they must be in the bottom five floors.

Finally, an end is in sight and that just motivates Tess to again get there as fast as she can. and when she does, she opens the doors leading out to the street, gasping for breath.

Chloe's situation isn't much better, she's gasping too and right behind Tess, a hand on her side, which started hurting a few floors above, she really had to get on that training thing.

"Oh thank God." Oliver spots Chloe first, probably because she's the one he's expecting to see, but then he catches sight of the red head and his eyes widen. "Mercy?"

Tess barely glances over at him. "Surprise?"

But it's Chloe she's more interested in. "There's a computer lab on the third floor of Luthorcorp if you still want to help." That piece of paper might be held up as well.

Chloe looks at Ollie smiling at him just slightly, "we're okay," she tells him before looking at Tess and taking the paper, "when?"

He looks between the two of them with a bewildered expression on his face. "Someone want to explain what the hell is going on?"

Tess cheerfully ignores Oliver. On the inside. On the outside she simply nods at Chloe. "No time like the present. They'll already be on alert with my bug being gone and Watchtower only giving them partial information. I can use that to my advantage."

"I'll let you know when it's done," Chloe assures Tess then glances at Ollie, explanations would have to wait a little longer.

When Chloe ignores his question, he knows there's a lot to this story and knows he'll have to wait for an explanation. He sighs softly and folds his arms across his chest, falling silent.

Tess shrugs. "It just better be done by the time I get there. Speaking of which, I should be on my way. Can't leave the lambs waiting."

Chloe gets a nod and Oliver another glance before Tess starts down a darkened alley, almost at full speed once more.

Chloe rolls her eyes a little at Tess and shakes her head, "you're welcome," she murmurs before turning to Ollie, "give me a ride to LuthorCorp? I'll tell you everything on the way."

He draws in a breath and lets it out slowly. "All right. Let's go."
