When they leave Milliways, Tess and Jim enter what looks very much like an elevator. That's because it is. Steel all around with a camera up in one corner.
Smile, Jim, you're on TessTV!
She presses the button for the top floor and then waits.
Sometimes Jim's really annoyed at himself for being...himself. Like right now, when he enjoys this sight objectively but still can't fall into it the way he should. He surveys her from under half-lowered eyelids, pushing her harder, loving how hot and wet she is and anticipating the moment of release.
Her throat's open for for the taking though, so he leans in and licks a stripe up it anyway, letting salt explode on his tongue before biting down, leaving another mark where it'll be difficult to hide.
It's the bite that pushes her over the edge, the heat inside her bursting with pleasure. She rids him faster and a little bit harder as the waves pulse though her body.
She'll talk about the marking later. When she's come down and is more coherent.
Her chest is heaving once everything starts to dissipate and she slows down until she's at a near stop. She rests her arms on his shoulders and tries to catch her breath.
He washes his hands, and helps himself to a fresh drink from the bar. He's tense, wound up under his skin, but it doesn't show much and he's not unfriendly.
'So I'll get on with everything for the base. I've got a few other things on, but nothing that'll really hold this up.'
Unless Hannibal comes through with a door; he'll put everything on hold for that challenge. Or unless Sherlock comes back, which he'll have to do eventually, but Jim has no reason to believe it'll be any time soon. So. Moonbase it is.
He finishes his vodka and sets his glass down. He needs to go. He enjoys doing this, but it's frustrating. And as an experiment, it just proves that Sherlock being gone is a problem he isn't going to go away.
A nod in her direction, and he collects his laptop and modelling device, and chucks them into Oliver's bag of arrows. The bow follows, and he's ready.
'Okay, kick me out. We've both got stuff to be doing,'
He does appreciate her lack of need for sentiment. He's not even going to try faking it.
Tess walks to the elevator and concentrates for a moment before pressing the button to open. When it does so, Milliways can clearly be seen on the other side.

A two hour ride back to Smallville doesn't seem all that appealing right now.

Tess straightens herself out and slides off the desk.
"I can open a door for you from here."

Tess is in need of a shower and some proper food. She glances over to him.
"Don't forget your bows and arrows."

He pecks her on the cheek, tips her a wink and heads off, his mind already switched back to more interesting, moon-based problems.
