While the world is boring so far, he's still burdened with the beautiful hope that things are going to get more interesting soon. So he just laughs, makes a perfunctory effort with the nearest towel, and...oh wait. Cigarettes.

He opens the front door stark naked, and waits for a waitrat to pass so he can order a fresh pack and lighter. That done, he comes to the bed to join her.

'Do I still have to prove myself?' He pushes his hand into her hair, and draws her in for a kiss. 'Or are you going to put me where you want me?'

Tess just rolls her eyes at him as he opens the door and waits for cigarettes.

"No, you've done a very good job."

Then she pushes him down on his back and straddles his lap again.

"Do you want me to boss you around?"

'You could try. I can't promise I'll behave.'
