The Smallville comics are ending in a month. Like, for good. For the first time since the autumn of 2008, Tess will no longer have an ongoing story. Not that I've actually ever used her specific comic story for RP purposes, but it still feels a little weird.
I've never much said anything about how I felt about her comic story - she's had some definite badass moments - and that's mostly because, ungrateful much? A lot of people get their beloved canon cut off with no closure or notice and I'm getting it twice. Not to mention she was dead in the TV finale so to have her continue into the comics regardless was getting cake and eating it, too.
But yeah, I'm not overly thrilled with what they did with her. I wanted the Tess I fell in love with on the show and this isn't her. In order to bring her back they made her basically into a new character and while it's one that I've toyed with exploring as an AU, it just isn't Tess to me. Although her final confrontation with Lex was pretty damn cool and about the only IC thing they did with her.
Anyway, this is really just me yammering on about THE END OF AN ERA and all that jazz. And still lamenting the lack of SV RPers. And thinking I need to get her out more and DO STUFF.
